Open up the mixer page to craft the perfect blend of stereo master, close, mid, and far mics. With individual loading, volume and output routing for each position, you have full control over your mix – plus a range of effect options. All mixer settings can be stored, and easily recalled for other NKIs.
We give you more freedom with your section placements. In addition to mix control for each section and mic position, you also get independent pan sliders for each section and soloist. Rather than locking the sound with fixed hard-panned seating placements, we recorded the players at center stage, in a wide, well-balanced stereo field to give you freedom to arrange your way. INSPIRED CRAFTSMANSHIP
We developed the Symphony Series Woodwind Ensemble with Native Instruments’ own in-house design team over a 2-year period to create this unparalleled woodwind scoring solution. This collection is built from over 60 hours of recording during an 10-day session at Montclair Church in Oakland, CA. We captured the woodwinds with 14 high dynamic range large diaphragm Neumann studio microphones, from distances of 1 to 25 meters. We recorded directly into pristine low-noise time-coded Sound Devices 788 multi-channel recorders. The result is an amazingly detailed and powerfully rich sound, with outstanding noise-free fidelity and uncolored stunningly vivid acoustics. We carefully mixed them down to a brilliant set of 4 optimal blends: the tight and clear close position; the well-rounded and spacious middle position; the lush, fluid back-of-house far position; and of course the master stereo mix for that perfect instant out-of-the box sound.
